My Experience In Studying English

I spent my senior high school period in SMA 1 Karangan. My experience in studying English is not very nice in this school because it is so boring. The way my English teacher when teaching me and my friend is very simple even monotonous. This often makes us sleepy and lacks of interest. Every time we learn this lesson, we just sit on the chair nicely, listen to the teacher explanation carefully; write what he is explaining in our books.

In addition, the facilitation of language learning in my school is not enough. The number of the students there are so many but the number of headset in language laboratory is limited, when we go to this place, some of us do cannot enjoy the headset while the lesson given in laboratory is usually about listening. As a result, the learning activity is less effective because some can use headset and the others just listen it with a loudspeaker mode.

After graduating from that school, I never imagined that I will continue my study in university as an English student because basically I do not have a high interest in this area. I just follow what my brother advises to me. In my university, the facilitation about language is much better. There are many things which do not exist my school previously, for example, English debate club, self access center, a various language competition, a various English language book, etc. The teachers also teach me with various ways. From this situation, my interest to learn English can eventually increase from day to day.

From this short explanation, I can say that my experience in studying English is much interesting when I am in university rather than when I am in senior high school. Both of these two places are really different. I hope my school can be as good as my university in teaching language.
